Finding 3G Deals
The mobile market has never had it as good. The world is today flooded with demands for 3G capable mobile phones and the entire 3G spectrum will soon be lapped up by cell service providers. It suffices to say that the 3G business is probably the fastest growing sector of the telecommunications industry. The unmatched features of 3G applications have ushered in a new era of mobile communication, as has been the forte of this sector ever since the first cell phone found its way into human hands. Across the vast web of the online marketplace, 3G deals and sales queuing up in droves to attract customers.
Reviews of different phones and services in various countries are freely available. Thus, the huge amount of data overload is simply overwhelming for the novice or first time 3G user. Even old users would find it difficult to get the best 3G deals amongst the hundreds out there.
The user initially needs to decide what capabilities the 3G phone should have. This should necessarily include after sales service with warranties and service centers located within the city. Battery life and recharge time is also important to consider, with the emphasis being on more talk time available rather than just total battery available time being mentioned.
Other features with inter-program transfer facilities, software upgrades, camera resolution and memory storage also need to be decided. Generally, a phone with about 6 – 8 GB of internal memory is adequate for most users. Once the requirements are in place, the user should first search for sales and deals available within the state or country and compare those with the best deals available in the user’s city. This is to ensure the user is not getting ripped off when finalizing what seems to be a ‘Perfect Deal’, only to find a better deal somewhere else.
Next is the step of finalizing the instrument or the actual mobile phone. A search or comparison review of the best 3G phones available is required which can be found on many websites. Here the user needs to finalize the projected budget according to the type of phone with the required features.
There are a host of fine mobile phones available which include the Apple iPhone 3G, the Samsung Omnia 900, Nokia N96, Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 amongst others. Once the instrument is finalized, the user needs to fit the 3G phone to a contract deal or mobile service plan in tandem with the mobile service providers of the state or country which actually provide 3G services. A short review of the service providers is also helpful as this can highlight the pro and cons of each service. The best 3G deal would thus inevitably be a mix of the phone and service cost with a monthly or annual plan which best suits the user’s overall budget.
Generally, product reviews as well as word of mouth reviews from friends and family is the best source of information. With the myriad 3G plans available, it is imperative to choose one which suits the user’s needs and avoids wastage of bandwidth by leaving out spurious options. The user should carefully choose the service to avoid spam calls or messages.
3G is the precursor for 4G technology which is just around the corner. The tech-savvy mobile customer today has wide options of choosing the best 3G deals available and tailoring a specific plan based on individual needs. It’s a win-win situation for everybody out there.

Sony Ericsson 3G
The Sony Ericsson 3G Xperia X10 phone is a terrific phone and has a number of different features. First of all, it is a small, light phone, which makes it easy to transport around with you. It also comes with a 4 inch touch screen, onscreen QWERTY keyboard, has an 8.1 megapixel camera and video options. There are a number of pros when it comes to the Xperia X10 3G phone.
Due to the Xperia’s various features, this phone is an optimal phone for both business and informal usage. First off, it comes with impressive hardware features that other phones would have a hard time competing with. It also has an accelerometer sensor that offers various options including a proximity sensor and auto rotation. The QWERTY keyboard is a feature that makes this phone a good one for texting, and the touch screen can be used to read documents on.
The phone also is great for its connection, allowing the owner to transfer their information extremely quickly. You do not have to worry about scratching your phone since the touch screen itself is made with a scratch resistant surface. The resolution of the screen is also great for a user who wants to take pictures and videos. The Xperia’s camera is an 8.1 megapixel camera which features auto and touch focus, Geo tagging, smile detection, image stabilization and LED flash, while the video recorder records at 30 frames per second. The phone is also capable of playing MP3s, has Bluetooth technology and USB connections.
One of the cons of this phone is that although you can find 3G deals, the phone can still be somewhat pricey. The biggest issue is that battery of the Xperia does not have an extremely long life before it needs to get charged again. There have also been complaints that the data connection is not the best and that the apps need to be improved, and so do the prices of the music you can buy for it. Finally, the in call volume of the Xperia could be made a little bit louder.
If you choose to buy this phone, there are a number of different 3G deals that you can take advantage of to save you money. The best way to find them is to search on the internet. You can find some websites that can offer a very reasonable price for a new Xperia phone, such as Amazon.com, and Buy.com. However, unless you go to a store and buy the phone, you will need to set up your plan and might not get as good of a deal. In this case, T-mobile will give you the phone for free if you sign a contract for a new plan.

Samsung 3G Phone
After a few years of having the same phone, I decided to see what other options are out there. I decided to go with a Samsung 3G phone and found some interesting choices. I had looked at a bunch they showed me at different locations but remembered one in particular called the L768. Out of all their 3G phones I found this one to be the nicest.
I liked that it was 3G because that is exactly what I was looking for. The HTML browser definitely kept my attention because that’s just what I need on a phone. I am constantly surfing the web and checking my email, so that was perfect. The phone had a 2.0 megapixel camera as well. A lot of the other phones didn’t have a very high megapixel rate and so that was definitely a plus. It was also a slider phone which is a good feature and the phone was pretty slim and lightweight. For someone who doesn’t like big bulky phones, this is a good choice. The last thing I liked about the L768 was that the battery life sounded pretty reasonable.
But to be honest I wasn’t all too pleased with the phones they had to offer. They sounded great for the right person but I was looking for something more. I didn’t like that there was no capability of applications like the smart phones now and although I definitely loved that there was a HTML browser, it wasn’t as fast as I would have imagined for a 3G phone. The phone also had a nice shape and look to it but I wish it came in other colors such as black or white! When I asked about it coming in black I was actually shocked that it did not. It only comes in silver, green, and a copper tone color.
If I had to rate this phone I would probably give it 3 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed a lot of the features it had to offer but wished that there was more to it. The price was not as bad as I would have thought either but I would honestly rather pay more for a phone with every feature I need so I get the full advantage out of having one of the new phones out today.
The choices Samsung had to offer definitely were high quality with good features but I was looking for something that would suit me best and sadly it did not fit what I needed.
