A 3G Smartphone is a much more advanced phone than your regular mobile phone. One of the major breakthroughs in <a href="http://threegphoneguide.com/smartphone-development/"title="" >smartphone development is that it runs a complete operating system and has the ability to download and install various applications; these features make a Smartphone a handheld computer.
The main features that a user would look for in a smartphone would be its advanced features/apps, performance and style.

One of the most popular Smartphones around today is Apple’s iPhone. With the new iPhone 4 being released it is fast becoming the go to phone for any user. It has the largest selection of apps and it is one of the stylish and sleek phones around today. The main issue that surrounds the iPhone is its call quality and reception quality, however over the last few years these have become second fiddle to what smartphones offer and iPhone surely leads in what a smartphone should be, and advanced computing.

Blackberry’s have been proven to be very popular over the last few years because of their design, features and style and the RIM Blackberry Bold 9700 duly delivers. This blackberry improves on performance of its predecessor and also has a much sleeker design. The only issue with the new blackberry is its browser capabilities; it is lacking the browser qualities than you would find in even the oldest iPhone. Sprint phones have bulldozed their way into the top mobile phones to have and with the new HTC Evo 4G it is no surprise why. It has great features and a very stylish design; however 4G coverage is very limited and makes it difficult for anyone to justify buying the phone.

HTC Droid incredible is a 3G smartphone from Verizon wireless. It offers enhanced features from the android 2.1 the phone offers 8-megapixel camera and 8GB of internal memory. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G. This phone lacks in quality audio playback which is one of the main things that holds this phone back.

The Palm pre plus is arguably twice the phone of its predecessor with double the storage and double the Ram making the performance of the phone much better. One of the major improvements of the phone is the add-on of an inductive back cover which allows for charging using the Touchstone tcharging Technology. The phone however does not have camera editing options and does not support V cast music or video.

In conclusion there are many Smartphones to choose from, the most outstanding is Apple’s iPhone, and it is the leading product in Smartphone Capabilities and overall performance. However there are several phones that would be perfect alternatives most notably the HTC Droid incredible which offers great performance and features. So for those that are looking for a new phone then <a href="http://threegphoneguide.com/3g-smartphones-nokia-e71/"title="" >3G Smartphones is the way to go.

With the current trends and changing technological innovation, finding <a href="http://threegphoneguide.com/3g-offers/"title="" >3G offers and deals on smartphones can be hard task and time consuming. Previously before the introduction of technologically advanced and different brands of phones, it was so easy to buy a phone. You could just walk in a store and buy the available stock without considering because there were not many options in the market like now.

A Smartphone is a gadget with functional combination’s of a cell phone and digital personal assistants. The essential communication, both voice and data needs are solved through a wide range of smart phones available in the market. Different professions have varying needs in terms of document processing and graphics which requires different applications that address the problems.

Business applications such as Ms Word, Excel and PowerPoint, e-mail access, web access, GPS and WIFI are some of the most important applications you should look out for in a smart phone. Downloading, powerful multimedia and too much texting are also very important features you need to consider. Make sure to check out what smart phone options your current service provider offers and compare it competing providers. You can compare services from Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Qwest and U.S Cellular among others.

The operating system is a very sensitive part you need to look out for in a smart phone. Compare history of efficiency and ability of different operating systems in processing necessary applications. The different operating systems for smart phones include Symbian OS WHICH RUNS MODELS FROM BenQ, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Erickson. Others are Palm OS, iphone OS, RIM Blackberry and Windows Mobile from Microsoft.

Smooth integration with business applications for business users is essential. Reviews have shown that Windows Mobile smart phones are the best in the market in terms of integration. Other applications like Bluetooth for headsets, QWERTY keyboards, and number pads, touch screens, in built storage, media card slots and lighting are very important. Though not very key, applications like speaker phones, digital camera, GPS and car charging systems are an added advantage.

Some of the models you should consider include Palm Treo, Blackberry, HTC, Nokia, T- Mobile Helio and iPhone 3G. These are very good for business applications and powerful multimedia. Windows mobile, Samsung Omnia, Saga, Touch Diamond and Epix are also worthy options when selecting.

We’ve all watched movies or television programs where the super spy quickly presses a couple of buttons on a computer and bingo, the location of their nemesis instantly pops up on the screen. They jump in their spy mobile and the chase is on. They look down at the laptop display every now and then and see the bleep on the computer showing that their prey’s location is just around the bend. This is cool but it’s just science fiction, right? Believe it or not, it’s not science fiction anymore.

The ability to track a cell phone from a computer or another cell phone is not only based in reality but it’s rather simple and accessible for anyone to do. There are basically two ways to do this. The first is to install some tracking software onto your phone. This of course requires that you have a programmable smart phone like the iphone, or the droid. The second is to purchase a phone that has the tracking software pre-installed on it.

There are several cellphone locater services that you can subscribe to for a fee. You pay a low monthly fee and you can track any phone that is in your network. There is also a free service called Google Latitude. It works in conjunction with Google maps. There are pro’s and con’s to each option. If you are providing cellphones for the delivery drivers that you employ and you want to keep tabs on them, it’s probably a good idea to buy non programmable cell phones from a mobile phone locator service. This way, your employees won’t even know that their is a tracking device in their phone. This can be very valuable if you are trying to find out if they are out goofing off while on the clock.

If you want to keep tabs on your wife, daughter, or son. You may want to just download the Google Latitude app onto their phones for them. Then whenever you want to know where they are, you simply log in to the Latitude app from your phone or computer and viola, you’ll know right were they are.

Even though this technology is no longer science fiction, you’re sure to feel like a top secret spy when you use it.

Apple iPhone with 3G is the most revolutionary and exclusive model of Apple. In the race of smart phones, it leads all the other model s in the world market. There was a huge technological gap between Apple iPhone and other models. By introducing more models, the other competitors have come closer to Apple products but have still not overtaken iPhone, which has essentially defined the future of mobile phones.

The new revolutionary model Apple iPhone3GS stands first in the competition. They have specified the letter ‘S’ with the word 3G to indicate the speed performance of the phone. When you glance over the reviews of iPhone users, Apple 3GS will be the top choice among smartphones.

Design and features:
Apple iPhone 3GS is designed as a Candy bar. Enhanced speed is the central attraction of this model. Applications and network connectivity will run faster and smoother. As it has prominent on-board memory, the multitasking feature will be performed extremely well. In previous models, Apple was using 2.0 mp cameras. But in 3Gs, 3.0 MP cameras are used. Apple has introduced document editing feature in this model. Most of the other Smartphone devices will lack in document editing feature. The ‘Cut, Copy and Paste‘ feature is included in this device and which can be impressively done with the help landscape virtual keyboard. Stereo Bluetooth facility is also present in iPhone 3GS. Voice recorder, GPS functionality and tethering capability are the added feature in 3Gs which were absent in previous models.

Specifications:
Apple 3GS consists of 3.5 wide touch screen with 480 x 320 display resolution. It has a good on board memory of 32 GB. It uses OS X operating system. It has 3G facility, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It has no physical keyboard and is equipped with 3.0 mega pixel digital camera with video recorder facility.

The Good:
An attractive feature of 3GS is the on-board memory of the device. It provides 32 GB while the prvious iPhone models provide only 16GB or less on-board memory. The iPhone supports millions of apps developed by programmers around the world. These apps make the iPhone one of the best touch screen phones in 2010, supporting various multimedia services.

The Bad:
For the heavy users, the battery life may not be enough. Users have to carry a backup batter with them when they go for long trips.

The mobile market has never had it as good. The world is today flooded with demands for 3G capable mobile phones and the entire 3G spectrum will soon be lapped up by cell service providers. It suffices to say that the 3G business is probably the fastest growing sector of the telecommunications industry. The unmatched features of 3G applications have ushered in a new era of mobile communication, as has been the forte of this sector ever since the first cell phone found its way into human hands. Across the vast web of the online marketplace, <a href="http://threegphoneguide.com/finding-3g-deals/"title="" >3G deals and sales queuing up in droves to attract customers.

Reviews of different phones and services in various countries are freely available. Thus, the huge amount of data overload is simply overwhelming for the novice or first time 3G user. Even old users would find it difficult to get the best 3G deals amongst the hundreds out there.

The user initially needs to decide what capabilities the 3G phone should have. This should necessarily include after sales service with warranties and service centers located within the city. Battery life and recharge time is also important to consider, with the emphasis being on more talk time available rather than just total battery available time being mentioned.

Other features with inter-program transfer facilities, software upgrades, camera resolution and memory storage also need to be decided. Generally, a phone with about 6 – 8 GB of internal memory is adequate for most users. Once the requirements are in place, the user should first search for sales and deals available within the state or country and compare those with the best deals available in the user’s city. This is to ensure the user is not getting ripped off when finalizing what seems to be a ‘Perfect Deal’, only to find a better deal somewhere else.

Next is the step of finalizing the instrument or the actual mobile phone. A search or comparison review of the best 3G phones available is required which can be found on many websites. Here the user needs to finalize the projected budget according to the type of phone with the required features.

There are a host of fine mobile phones available which include the Apple iPhone 3G, the Samsung Omnia 900, Nokia N96, Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 amongst others. Once the instrument is finalized, the user needs to fit the 3G phone to a contract deal or mobile service plan in tandem with the mobile service providers of the state or country which actually provide 3G services. A short review of the service providers is also helpful as this can highlight the pro and cons of each service. The best 3G deal would thus inevitably be a mix of the phone and service cost with a monthly or annual plan which best suits the user’s overall budget.

Generally, product reviews as well as word of mouth reviews from friends and family is the best source of information. With the myriad 3G plans available, it is imperative to choose one which suits the user’s needs and avoids wastage of bandwidth by leaving out spurious options. The user should carefully choose the service to avoid spam calls or messages.

3G is the precursor for 4G technology which is just around the corner. The tech-savvy mobile customer today has wide options of choosing the best 3G deals available and tailoring a specific plan based on individual needs. It’s a win-win situation for everybody out there.

The Nokia E71 has been out for a while now, but it is still one of the best <a href="http://threegphoneguide.com/3g-smartphones-nokia-e71/"title="" >3G smartphones, offering extraordinary value for money. The phone comes packed with all standard features you would expect from a smartphone now days, but what really makes it a stand-out is the quality and usability of the design.

The phone features a qwerty keyboard that is compact, yet incredibly easy to use. The casing of the phone is strong and sturdy. If you are the kind of user who has a tendency to be a bit rough with your phone, you can be sure the Nokia E71 can handle plenty of drops and falls. The operating system is Symbian, which is very easy to use, especially for those that just want a phone that can do what it promises, without lots of tweaking and problem solving. With Mail for Exchange, you can setup the phone to work with your business’ exchange server quite easily.

Add skype to the mix and you’ve got a fantastic communication device. A GPS receiver is built in, and through Nokia’s online Ovi store, you can download the excellent OviMaps program for free. Conversely, you can opt for Google Maps, but either way you’ve got a solid GPS in your pocket. The size of the phone is one of its greatest strengths. It’s dimensions are 114 x 57 x 10 mm, which means it can slip into your front pocket or handbag without any inconvenience. This phone scores major points with those who don’t want to carry a big paperweight around with them all the time.

The Nokia E71 doesn’t have a touchscreen, but for many people this isn’t a problem. The fact is that touchscreens break easily, and that will not be a problem with an E71. The smartphone has plenty of memory, and a slot of a mini SD card. For some reason, Nokia included a 2.5 mm headphone jack, meaning normal headphones are not compatible. This certain can be an annoyance over time, though most likely not a deal breaker. The camera on the phone leaves a lot to be desired as well, even though it seems to work a lot better for filming short videos.

The Nokia E71 is a fantastic phone, especially for those who just want a phone that can do it all without the fuss. It is geared at business users and consistently performs well. While an iPhone may be a more trendy option, the Nokia E71 may be the more practical one.

My husband and I each bought a 3G smartphone a few months ago. We intentionally picked two different phones because he is a software developer and hopes to create some apps for both phones down the road. I have the iPhone and he has the Android. I am more familiar with the iPhone while he is more familiar with the Android. I’ve come to my own conclusions and have also researched online to find the pros and cons of both phones.

The pros of an Android phone is that it is not limited to the Safari browser which does not have flash as this point. The default browser is faster on the Android. Also while working on Facebook, for example, the notification system alerts you to incoming voice messages, or email. Also, the Android has an open source access so anyone can improve on applications because it is transparent to various possibilities. And various carriers can sell the Android phone. It’s not limited to AT&T as a carrier as the iPhone is.

My personal experience with the iPhone will highlight what I like about it. It’s one component whereas the Android has a separate keyboard. The screen on the iPhone is a bit bigger than the Android. I seemed to have learned the functions of the iPhone faster than my husband has with becoming familiar with the Android. I love the ease of the iPhone, especially downloading apps from the app store. There are developers for the iPhone now so the system is not totally closed off to Apple workers. The sound that comes through on the iPhone is amazing. I have not checked out the app store for apps for the Android but that is equally good in both phones.

Basically, I love the iPhone but there are some drawbacks I don’t like. I have not figured out a way to leave one application and go to another without pressing a button to get me back to the icon page. Any page that is up when I am not using the phone will be the first one up next time. I must admit I don’t know if there is a possibility to change that in the settings so I can’t determine that for sure. It would be nice to have other carriers for the iPhone because that is limiting. My 8 gigabyte phone does not have a flash when taking picture nor does it have video.

However, the Android does have that. I would conclude that both phones have pros and cons but being a person who likes simplicity, I am totally happy with my iPhone. It would take some good convincing to give up my iPhone for an Android and down the road, who knows that might happen but not right now.

Apple’s latest device has been turning heads for over a month now and just before hype began to subside, the iPad 3G was released, bringing the spotlight back to the it. The iPad 3G is nothing more than a copy of the original with 3G connectivity (to AT&T’s 3G Network) added. Therefore, a review of the iPad 3G cannot be accomplished without first reviewing the iPad’s core functionality and then including a review of the new 3G technology which has been integrated.

In the words of Apple, the iPad is a way of bridging the gap between the smart phone and a laptop. The iPad does an excellent job at combining a pleasant web browsing and media viewing experience, while placing it in a portable package. But it’s capable of so much more too, with the ability to run games, view eBooks and perform just about any other basic computing task. It also has a gorgeous, minimalistic design, not far off the from the design of the iPhone, on a much larger scale. Paired with a nice leather iPad case the iPad is a sleek and sexy piece of technology.

The iPad runs on a modified version of the iPhone OS which allows a few significant changes. The iPad is capable of navigating in a much quicker manner with the ability to display multiple tabs and panes of information on the same screen. Pop-up preview windows allow users to preview information without leaving the original content source, something that is limited on the iPhone’s tiny screen.

Apple’s software suite, iWork, which is viewed as an answer to Microsoft Office, enables users to perform similar functions on their iPad. iBook enables magazines and written literature such as books to be displayed and stored on the device. The iPad ships with a 1GHZ processor which enables a smooth experience and very little “lag.” The beautiful and large LCD screen makes viewing media and navigating the web a pleasure.

The original iPad shipped with Wi-Fi capability which was hit or miss. The Wi-Fi chip was often described as “having a mind of its own” and would frequently drop or loss signal with just a slight movement or change of position. The problems typically occurred in areas with low Wi-Fi signal strength. Aside from the minor flaws with the Wi-Fi chip one of the biggest gripes was the lack of mobility. Wi-Fi ties users to areas where Wi-Fi signals are available and does not enable freedom.

The 3G chip enables users to connect to AT&T’s high speed 3G network. The 3G performance of the iPad is quite surprising, to say the least. The device connects flawlessly to the 3G network. Of course, the iPad 3G is limited by AT&T’s network coverage which can be spotty in some areas. Users within markets that offer strong 3G coverage will be able to enjoy freedom with their iPad, similar to using a 3G mobile phone. In theory speeds of up to 1.5 MBs are possible with AT&T’s 3G service; although the iPad 3G is aimed more towards freedom and mobility than speed. Wi-Fi service which is connected to a decent broadband connection will still provide better speeds on the iPad. However, for portability the iPad 3G is the ultimate choice enabling users to connect to both the Wi-Fi and 3G networks.

I bought the new iPhone 3G right when it came out over a year ago. I have to say, it is the best phone I have ever had, and it is still the best out there. There have been a ton of new smart phones to hit the market after iPhone, like the Blackberry and others, but the iPhone 3G is clearly on top. This <a href="http://threegphoneguide.com/"title="" >three G phone can do it all. I will start with the one con of the phone, and that is that you are stuck into the AT&T contract, and it is very expensive.

That being said, the rest is all positive. This phone has everything a technologically sound person would want. The phone has Safari, Apple’s browser pre-loaded on it and works off of the 3G network. If you are in a wireless zone, you can connect to Wi-Fi for even faster speeds. I use 3G a lot of the time as I am traveling often, and the 3G is not that slow at all. The web browsing is great, and with the new addition on the latest update of cut, copy, and paste, links are a cinch with this phone.

Moving onto the phone aspect, I get great reception in most areas, with the exception of wooded areas and distant towns, and then I get awful reception. Since I am rarely in those bad areas, it is a great phone. The sound is perfect, and the phone gives you many in call options while you are on the phone. I can even browse my phone as I am on the phone.

I for one like listening to my iPod, and you can receive calls through your headphones and then if you have a microphone on your headphones, you can use that to talk clearly. The text messaging system on the phone is great, saving conversations for over a year, no matter the amount of texts! You can store tons of contacts and enter tons of different info like address. The map on it works like a charm. It saves you money because you don’t need to buy a GPS for your car, you can just use the phone. Of course, the thing that puts it on top are the apps. Look around for a top iphone resource and you’ll find there are a ton of amazing free and paid apps that really put the iPhone over the top.

If you’re in the market for a three G phone, take a look at the iPhone 3G from Apple. On the surface, the Apple iPhone 3G model appears to look exactly like the original iPhone. It is certainly very difficult to tell them apart physically, but there are subtle external differences and significant internal differences that consumers should be aware of.

Gadget lovers have the choice of two colors – black and white. The black model comes in 8 GB and 16 GB versions. The white model only comes in the 16 GB variety. Unlike previous models, this iPhone’s body is made of glossy plastic rather than aluminum. I found this change disappointing, but I can understand its necessity considering all of the wireless activity that may be brewing within the 3G’s innards.

Not much has changed with the iPhone’s 3.5-inch touchscreen, but that is probably a good thing. The screen is still bright and beautiful, and the touchscreen is as responsive as previous models. This time around, Apple decided not to include a dock with the phone. This is unforgivable considering the old dock is not compatible with the 3G. The virtual keyboard, though it takes getting used to, remains unchanged.

Unlike previous models, the iPhone 3G does not have a recessed headphone jack, as this was an annoyance voiced by users since the iPhone release. Another positive trait regarding audio capabilities is the fact that the speaker is a few decibels louder than before.

Under the hood the iPhone really excels. For a 3G phone, the iPhone zips along with data transfers. Web browsing and downloading speeds as fast as 800 Kbps were observed during informal testing. The iPhone 3G is an AGPS device, and as such, this really increases performance during position acquisition. In these aspects, the phone shows its dominance among other 3G phones.

The iPhone 3G is not without flaws, however. It would be nice have a user replaceable battery and a slot for some expandable memory. Another missing feature is tethering. It would be ideal to harness the power of 3G networks for some laptop duties.

Apple still appears to lead the race in regards to smartphones, but the competition is not far behind. If you want the best 3G phone, you can’t go wrong with the iPhone 3G.
